Learn from Malaysian Entrepreneurs (LME)
The objectives of LME are to create and promote a strong databank of Quality Entrepreneurs with world-class visions and credibility. Working together with successful gurus of entrepreneurship and developing ‘strength’ in-numbers will provide the impetus to maximise and enhance the skills of local entrepreneurs that will benefit the nation as a whole to withstand and emerge victories in facing challenges.The practicality and strategic plans are formulated to achieve the above mission for the nation. The approaches taken are holistic through offerings from enterprising education, publication of biographies of entrepreneurs, bilateral business matching and sharing, information on finance and economics to business opportunities and many more. The campaign is made known to public via media such as magazines, press, radio, printed flyers, television and the Internet.
Boss Academy
The Boss Academy is the non-profit training arm of PUMM, established to encourage learning from successful entrepreneurs. Since its inception, seven professional courses have been conducted in the major cities of Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru with great success. The tailor-made topics will enhance the skills, knowledge and encourage moral values in business dealings. They are conducted by prominent entrepreneurs who volunteer to spare their precious time in sharing their real life experiences. These Seminars have successfully attracted business owners, CEO’s, Senior Managers, executives and those who aspire to set up their own businesses in future.
More upcoming seminars are being planned to be held in Klang Valley and other major cities.
100 Roadshow "Turn On Glocal Entrepreneurship" & Gala Dinner
Realizing the importance of learning, PUMM is in its effort to promote entrepreneurial studies to the students and youths, by organizing 100 Roadshow “Turn On Glocal Entrepreneurship” (传承环球智慧,启迪本土企业). PUMM has taken affirmative steps to carry out nationwide promotions in schools, colleges and universities since year 2003. 100 Roadshow was officially launched on 7th October 2005 with the endorsement from the Ministry of Entrepreneurial & Cooperative Department (MECD) with a target of 100 such road shows or learning programs being set.
Business Gathering
A monthly informal gathering is being conducted to provide members and guests on the opportunity to network, interact and share the experiences of successful entrepreneurs or other prominent professionals. Subjects covered are varied to cater to the interests and needs of the participants. It is through this gathering that members would have the opportunity to learn and understand how other businesses are being carried out which may be applicable to their businesses, thereby increases their knowledge and perspective.
Sin Chew Entrepreneur Clinic (星洲企业药房)
This program is published bi-weekly (Monday) in Sin Chew Daily whereby selected interviews are conducted with successful entrepreneurs from different industries in sharing their entrepreneurial success stories. Such publications are invaluable as it enables members to learn and have better understanding of some information which may be helpful and relevant to their businesses as well as for personal development.
